Interactive Viewpoint Control System through Gaze Tracking

What we offer:
The interactive viewpoint control system aims to provide users the ability to select preferred viewpoint video in order to enhance legacy IPTV service that provides only one AV stream edited by the contents provider. The presented system consists of the scene authoring tool generating interactive contents based on MPEG-4 LASeR and the media player enabling users to select a preferred video among various viewpoint streams. Moreover, the media player provides user-friendly UI based on gaze tracking technology. TV control interface by gaze tracking has benefit of fast and intuitive control since a viewer gazes on TV screen before handling of functions such as volume and channel control. The valid distance of the presented gaze tracking technology is about 1.5 meters and will be extended to over 2 meters. The presented gaze tracking technology can be applicable not only to controlling personal multimedia devices, but also to analyzing the viewing patterns of users for organizing web pages, designing program menu, and displaying products on a shelf.

MODEM technology for next generation broadband satellite communication(DVB-RCS NG standard)

What we offer:
ETRI has developed the MODEM to support the broadband satellite communication system which is compatible with DVB-RCS NG standard. It provides high spectral efficient and good performance scheme which can be produced for a variety of satellite network. It can supports high speed data rate by 10Mbps given in 4MHz bandwidth over return link and operate nonlinear power amplifier range in the satellite terminal with higher spectral efficiency. It can make use of broadband stationary & mobile satellite internet service anywhere. In particular, it can build the service in rural area as well as remote island easily which terrestrial network is not common. The low cost satellite terminal can be applied in SCADA network. It can be applicable for low cost service development and operation compared with previous technology

Channel Adaptation Satellite Broadcasting System based on H.264 SVC/DVB-S2 VCM scheme

What we offer:
ETRI offers the channel adaptation satellite broadcasting system that can provide and sustain high quality video service in spite of deteriorated transmission channel conditions. Especially combining the layered characteristics of the SVC(Scalable Video Coding) and the VCM(Variable Coding and Modulation) employed for DVB-S2, the new concept for digital satellite broadcasting service is developed.

Rain attenuation in Ka-band is a major factor for lowering the link availability in satellite broadcasting service. Therefore, it is necessary to devise a new technology to adaptively mitigate the rain attenuation. The convergence of H.264 SVC and DVB-S2 VCM scheme can apply variable code rates for both sources and channel codings. By use of this technology, ETRI has developed the channel adaptation satellite broadcasting system and verify the performance of the proposed scheme by demonstration where proposed broadcastings signal is transmitted over the rain affected channel. In addition, ETRI is developing the high speed DVB-S2 Demodulator and LDPC decoder which support multi channel UHD broadcastings stream.

What are we looking for:
First, ETRI wants to transfer the channel adaptation satellite broadcasting technology involved. For example, the channel adaptation satellite broadcasting system engineering technology and VCM(Variable Coding and Modulation) technology.

Second, ETRI wants to collaborate on the development of high speed DVB-S2 Demodulator and LDPC decoder. ETRI wants to develop the related technology by mutual exchange of information. We want the partner which have experience in these technology.

What we offer:
ACETEL(Korean SME) offers two professional broadcast solutions in the UMT8000 and the MD2000. The UMT8000 is an Integrated Receiver Decoder that receives and decodes Terrestrial and Satellite signals. What’s unique about our product is its modular design. Each receiver or decoder is a module, and with eight slots per UMT8000, you can mix and match the receivers and decoders you need, all in a 1RU chassis. Each receiver module has two ASI outputs and one CAM slot for descrambling. The decoder modules have either SDI outputs or Analog outputs. The decoder modules also support BISS. With its unique ability to hold up to 8 modules, the UMT8000 is very scalable and efficient for your HEADEND.

The MD2000 is a cost-effective monitoring solution for the MCR, HEADEND room, or a production van. Our multiviewer allows monitoring of up to 16 video channels with up to 2 stereo pair audio per channel. The MD2000 displays input loss, video freeze, and audio loss alarms in order to show whether the streams are coming in correctly. Audio levels are also displayed next to the video frames to show audio input. We have an analog version and an analog/digital version. Both versions have one DVI-I output which supports various resolutions including up to 1080p Full HD. Some other features include video probing, flexible custom layout, separate NMS for remote control, and graphics and clock display.

We are looking for terrestrial, cable, satellite, or IPTV broadcasters for purchase of products and/or distributors/dealers looking to distribute our products in their territories.
Our partners should have sales knowledge of major and minor customers locally in the broadcast industry.
